Synthetic Data Hub

A hub-and-spoke network for synthetic health data: each NPHI operates a Synthetic Data Node that generates and shares privacy-preserving synthetic datasets with the central hub, while the hub provides harmonisation, modelling & AI capacity and federated access back to every node.

Synthetic Data Hub

  • Synthetic health data
  • Data generation
  • Data harmonisation
  • Modelling & AI
  • Federated access
— → synthetic data generation & sharing  - - → federated access

Federated synthetic data exchange & access — no patient-level data ever leaves a country.

Why a Synthetic Data Hub?

Privacy-preserving by design

Synthetic datasets mimic the statistical properties of real health data without exposing any real patient — enabling open experimentation, training and tool validation.

Cross-border collaboration

Nodes share synthetic data with the hub for harmonisation and benchmarking, while federated access lets each NPHI query the network without centralising sensitive data.

Modelling & AI readiness

Synthetic OMOP-shaped data accelerates infectious disease modelling, AI development and ETL testing before deployment on real federated nodes.
